Alastair MacCallum – Founding Director

Alastair has always had a creative flair and an interest in the arts and design which led to him pursuing a degree in Architecture at the University of NSW for which he received honours. After graduating in 1991 Alastair moved to Canberra in the pursuit of employment opportunities and has never looked back. Prior to initiating AMC, Alastair was the Canberra Manager of Woods Bagot from 1997 – 2000 which proved an excellent training ground for the breadth of skills he has developed and continues to refine. Alastair’s strengths are his intuition, design skills, communication skills and in the breadth of his knowledge of the Canberra property market. He has been responsible for innumerable award winning projects with the RAIA, MBA and HIA and was also the recipient of the PCA Young Property Professional of the Year Award in 2000. He was pivotal in AMC being awarded the prestigious 2011 PCA ACT Property Business of the Year and 2015 PCA Lend Lease award for Australia’s best Retirement Living Development.
