About the Project

Client: Jones Lang LaSalle / Lockheed Martin
Size: 950²
Cost: $2.1M
Date: 2011

AMC were commissioned in 2011 by Jones Lang LaSalle to deliver Lockheed Martin’s new NexGen AU Innovation Centre which would occupy approximately 900m² on the top floor of 53 Wentworth Avenue in Kingston. The fitout comprises a large welcoming reception area designed to showcase Lockheed’s latest technologies, a large data centre, meeting and administration spaces. The fitout incorporated a distinct Australian theme with Lockheed opting to use names of iconic beach’s for the conference and meeting rooms. AMC used this theme to select a finishes palette incorporating native timbers, stone and utilizing colour tones that are distinctly coastal-Australian.

This showcase fitout has been effectively used to promote a US powerhouse in the Australian defence security market. The remainder of the fitout comprises meeting and administration spaces with a mixture of traditional offices and open plan work areas with multiple large screen displays for international teleconferences, team collaboration and information sharing.
