About the Project

Client: FOY Group
Size: 3,200m²
Cost: $12M
Completion Date: 2016

AMC was appointed by FOY Group to design and document an Australian First Plastics to Fuel Recycling Plant which utilises non-recyclable, end of life plastics to be processed to high quality road-ready diesel, petrol and LPG. The proposal is a response to the scourge of non-recyclable plastics either being sent to landfill or ending up in the world’s oceans. The facility in the New West Industry Park In Hume includes an office building, module island, feedstock storage shed, densification plant, tank farm and will incorporate FOY’s proprietary technology designed to exceed world’s best practice in emission management and operating systems. The benefits of this proposal are many and varied with the opportunity to serve the ACT and surrounding NSW regional areas in the first instance and ultimately as a case study for marketing the technology for other such developments nationally and overseas. By supporting Foy with the development of this innovative new technology in Canberra, the ACT will set a standard for more progressive and sustainable waste management practices. AMC is very proud to be involved in the project given the potential to be a global exemplar for environmentally responsible energy generation.
