Client: Department of Employment
Date: February 2015
AMC was appointed to the Department of Employment Shared Services panel in 2014. On the back of this AMC were subsequently engaged to design the fitout of its new Executive floor and refurbish targeted areas of its existing “Employment Precinct” at 10, 12 & 14 Mort Street, to align its workplace environment with the values and vision of the new DOE Executive Team. The Executive floor incorporated a dedicated reception and boardroom supported by associated administration and open plan work areas, enclosed offices and the Secretary’s suite of rooms. Key refurbishment zones included the main entry lobbies, breakouts, lift lobbies, glazing film and signage to each building as well as upgrading the multi-purpose areas adjacent to the entry lobby to 12 Mort Street. The finishes palette combined timber and plywood panelling and feature walls with splashes of colour, planter boxes and geometric designs to re-energise and enliven lobby and breakout spaces. The works were successfully completed within a very compressed time frame to meet DOE’s restructure and relocation program.
