Client: Fair Work Ombudsman
Size: 780 – 2,400m²
Date: 2015 – Current
AMC was engaged by the Fair Work Ombudsman to provide architectural, interior design and project management services for new fitouts in Sydney and Hobart. The Sydney tenancy was the first and larger of the two projects, requiring three floors of fitout including a new inter-tenancy stair and a range of design features intended to support a more agile workplace strategy. Personal lockers, mobile storage and innovative technology options were incorporated throughout the office space to encourage flexible workplace practices. The fitout had a number of unique AV, security, acoustic and fire engineering requirements that were met successfully via ongoing consultation and coordination with local and base building services engineers.
In order to meet the FWO’s restricted timeframe, the project was delivered under a Construction Management arrangement. AMC worked closely with the appointed contractor in managing and regularly reporting on programme and budget to achieve the client’s relocation and budget objectives.
The Hobart fitout project, although smaller in size, was designed to align closely with the concept delivered for the Sydney office with a focus on flexibility and modularity. Both projects were successfully completed on time and on budget and to a high level of quality. AMC has since been engaged to design and deliver fitouts of FWO offices in Melbourne and Canberra.
