Defence Estate Upgrades

AMC has delivered numerous building refurbishment and compliance upgrades within military facilities across Australia, including:

• Royal Military College, Duntroon (RMC)
• Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA)
• Defence Offices in Russell, ACT
• Aubury-Wodonga Military Area, NSW
• HMAS Stirling, Perth
• Gallipoli Barracks, Brisbane
• HMAS Kuttabul, Sydney
• Victoria Barracks, Melbourne.

The refurbishment of Live-In-Accommodation blocks within RMC Duntroon required extensive coordination with Defence stakeholders and PDS provider, Aurecon to ensure upgrade works were delivered within budget and program parameters and did not impact the operations of RMC. The scope included new fire compartmentation requiring internal modifications to accommodate full height partitions, new fire doors, upgraded smoke detection and EWIS systems and modifications to building services. AMC worked closely with the appointed heritage consultant to facilitate NCA Works Approval for external works.
