Public Atrium, End of Trip Facilities & Wellness Centre Refurbishment
This transformative project has revitalised a major commercial precinct in the heart of Canberra.
This transformative project in the heart of Canberra City has repositioned 7 London Circuit through various refurbishment initiatives to revitalise and renew this major commercial precinct. The refurbishment strategy included the introduction of a more permeable ground floor plane, a new sophisticated landscaping strategy to William Clements Street and increased pedestrianisation to complement exciting new health and wellbeing offerings and new end of trip facilities. AMC initially developed the precinct masterplan and subsequently provided fully integrated architectural and interior design services to successfully deliver a cohesive strategy for the refurbishment. Interventions to the existing building façade provide a more legible and welcoming building address to London Circuit that complements the newly pedestrianised link between 7 London Circuit and the adjacent 18 Marcus Clarke Street. New end of trip facilities accommodate a large bike enclosure and indoor bike storage area and repair station, lockers and change room facilities. A new health and wellness centre complements a business lounge and hospitality offerings within the building’s existing atrium.
