A catalyst for innovation, education, collaboration and knowledge-sharing across cutting-edge Defence projects.

The Defence Technology Acceleration Collab (DTAC) provides a catalyst for innovation, educating and inspiring Defence, Industry and Academia alike through collaboration and knowledge-sharing across cutting-edge projects including (but not limited to) Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Advanced Sensors and Advanced Networks. Considered spatial planning and early engagement of a specialist AV consultant were key to the success of this project to ensure a range of dedicated spaces were catered for over two levels. These include a Virtual Reality Room, an Augmented Reality Room, wargaming spaces, flight simulator and a “Makers Garage” in addition to highly flexible workspaces. A range of work modes are catered for, including sit/stand workstations, booths, bench seating and the provision of a “coffice” (cafe / workspace) which provides for a relaxed breakout space as well as an extension to the open plan work area. DTAC provides a dynamic and flexible workplace with dedicated spaces to showcase, inspire and support the development of Defence’s technology platforms with a focus on augmented reality. Referencing biophilic design principles, AMC’s interior design team has created an agile, free-flowing layout complemented by natural materials, greenery and feature lighting elements throughout.
