A fresh, vibrant palette forms the backdrop to Microsoft’s flexible, inspirational and interactive workspaces.

Microsoft’s new Canberra office fitout features a fresh, vibrant palette demonstrating a contemporary mix of materials, textures and colours that captures this global company’s unique identity and workplace aspirations. Innovation, collaboration and creativity are stimulated by an office environment that also showcases Microsoft’s global branding and technologies which are central to company operations. The relocation of its Canberra operations provided the opportunity to apply its new Workplace Advantage Principles that aim to enhance innovation and productivity and achieve function-based workplaces. With a focus on client relations, customer support and remote collaboration technology, the fitout was designed to provide flexible, inspirational and interactive spaces. A considered palette of materials combined with striking colour and lighting selections enliven meeting spaces for small and large scale collaboration, teamwork and coordination while private areas allow for quiet considered individual work. The targeted use of feature wall panelling provides interest and character while writeable work surfaces inspire creativity in touchdown, locker and meeting areas. High quality materials and finishes selections define customer oriented areas, which have been designed to provide flexible, multi-functional spaces for formal and informal client meetings.
