Heritage design elements are given a contemporary edge in this refurbishment and fitout project for the Department of the Treasury.

AMC was engaged to assist with the completion of an extensive program of refurbishment and fitout works within the Treasury Building in Parkes. Works included the fitout of the Level 5 Executive Area and targeted upgrades of existing breakout areas across the remaining floors of the building.  The Executive Area incorporates a mix of enclosed offices, open plan workstations, a large meeting room, breakout and shared utility area in addition to a suite of conference rooms.  The Treasurer’s office features integrated built-in storage with an ensuite and waiting area.

Muted grey VJ wall panelling gesture to the heritage nature of the Treasury Building and given a contemporary edge through the targeted use of contrasting black trims, furnishings and workstation systems, softened by blonde timber joinery.  Timber batten screens assist in delineating spaces while maintaining sight lines across open plan work areas. All breakout spaces are characterised by a neutral colour palette, high quality, durable materials and feature ceilings punctuated by linear light fixings.  A variety of seating options are provided with flexibility and comfort in mind. Kitchens are well appointed with generous storage and integrated lighting and tiled splashbacks.  AMC and Projex worked closely with key Treasury stakeholders throughout the project to successfully deliver the fitout within an occupied and operational environment and a compressed timeframe.
